Our practice involves primary eye care with a significant emphasis on cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK, and the medical management of glaucoma and other eye diseases.  We believe that it all begins with a comprehensive eye exam.

The Importance of Complete Eye Examinations to Your Overall Health

contact lens close upMany health problems can be diagnosed in their early stages through a comprehensive medical eye examination. Some eye disorders, such as glaucoma, begin without any symptoms at all. Sometimes even minor symptoms, such as blurry or cloudy vision, dry eyes or eye discoloration, can signal a physical illness not related to the eye, such as diabetes or high blood pressure. We encourage you to have routine eye exams to help you maintain your overall health.
A thorough eye exam requires evaluation of the “back of the eye” which requires us to dilate your eyes. The dilating drops may cause temporary blurred vision or light sensitivity; therefore, you should bring a pair of sunglasses and someone to drive you home after your  ppointment.

Preparing for your first visit to our offices

You will be asked to complete our registration and health history forms during your first visit. In order for us to best meet your needs, it is important for us to know about all medications you are taking and about any allergies you may have. Previous medical records concerning your eye health are also helpful. Please bring your insurance cards so that we can make copies of them for your medical record. Also, remember to bring your eyeglasses to each appointment.
