On Sunday, November 17, Dr. Jonathan Frantz was one of four ophthalmologists to speak at the American Academy of Ophthalmology conference in New Orleans, on behalf of Alcon Surgical’s latest technological advancement, The Cataract Refractive Suite. Other speakers included Dr. Stephen Slade (Texas), Dr. Richard Tipperman (Pennsylvania) and Dr. Robert Cionni (Utah).
The Cataract Refractive Suite is comprised of four technologies, which together will redefine the way cataract surgery is performed from start to finish. In front of hundreds of the world’s most renowned ophthalmologists, Dr. Frantz discussed the implementation of the LenSx laser at his Suncoast Surgery Center in Fort Myers.
Dr. Frantz introduced Bladeless Laser Cataract Surgery in Southwest Florida in May of 2012 and is now one of the most experienced LenSx surgeons in the country. According to Dr. Frantz, the laser has optimized surgical flow, accuracy and most importantly the visual outcomes for his patients. The LenSx laser is one of the four technologies comprising The Cataract Refractive Suite and a key component in the future of cataract surgery.
