Area Cataract & LASIK Specialist Jonathan M. Frantz, MD, FACS, is pleased to announce that Warren H. Hamilton, MD, a board certified ophthalmologist, has rejoined the medical team at Frantz EyeCare. He had previously worked at the practice from 2007 – 2008 before moving to Tampa. As a medical ophthalmologist, Dr. Hamilton will primarily see patients who have glaucoma, dry eyes, and other diseases of the eye.
“We are pleased to have a Dr. Hamilton back on staff to assist me in meeting the medical needs of our patients,” said Dr. Frantz. “Dr. Hamilton has extensive medical experience with a special interest in the needs of seniors,” he added.
Dr. Hamilton attended college at Florida State University where he graduated Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. His medical school training was at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. After an internship at Methodist Hospitals of Memphis, he completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Tennessee.
A member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 1981, and a fellow since 1987, Dr. Hamilton is certified by both the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Hamilton will see patients in the Fort Myers and Naples offices of Frantz EyeCare. The practice also has office locations in Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres and Punta Gorda. In addition to Dr. Frantz and Dr. Hamilton, Frantz EyeCare has a retina specialist, an ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgeon and six board-certified optometrists on staff who provide primary eye care services including routine eye exams for eyeglasses and contact lenses, and pre and post-operative care of surgical patients.
