The Eye’s Electrical Signal Vehicle To The Brain
The Retina is comprised of light-sensitive cells called photoreceptors that convert light into electrical signals which are transmitted to the brain through the optic nerve. The retina is responsible for vision in that it is the messenger that communicates images, depth perception, and colors to the brain.
